So what’s the difference between a Nintendo DS and a Nintendo DS Lite? The DS Lite (Metallic Rose included!) is not even two-thirds the size of the original Nintendo DS – and it weighs less, too. Instead of one screen, it has two much brighter screens that can be adjusted to four lighting levels. The microphone is in the middle of the DS Lite pink console. The DS Lite stylus is longer and thicker than the stylus of the original DS, giving the player more control. The Lite’s start and select buttons are moved, and you’ll find that the ‘feel’ of the DS Lite is reminiscent of the Game Boy Advance.
